Small field of six runners and pace is only moderate again with Power Blue taking up the running. Bow Echo is probably the best miler and deserves to be odds on. He beat Gstaad when winning the 2000 Guineas last start and looks set to keep his unbeaten record in tact. Gstaad proved the 2000 Guineas form at Newmarket was strong when winning the Irish 2000 Guineas at Curragh by 3L. He will need his best to topple Bow Echo here. Talk Of New York looms as a big threat coming off an impressive win in the Heron Stakes by 5 1/2L last start. This is a big jump up in grade however. BOW ECHO (1) Landed the spoils when winning by 2 3/4L last run at Newmarket and securing a solid record thus far. Billy Loughnane is very comfortable aboard and has a positive draw. Can get the job done. GSTAAD (2) Found another gear when winning by 3L last start at Curragh and drawn beautifully. Been in the money 2 from 2 attempts this preparation. Key player. TALK OF NEW YORK (6) Made no mistakes when winning by 5 1/2L last run at Sandown and putting a tidy record together. Maintaining a perfect record the last 2 starts. Fights on bravely so consider. PUERTO RICO (5) Finished 4th last run at Longchamp. Expecting improvement here but facing a stronger group of contenders. Christophe Soumillon rates highly. Likely to be well placed early. Solid place bet prospects.
